This is a beautiful film about a remote Indian village being introduced to skateboarding and how that changes the lives of the villagers.
The young cast is very talented and the core story Prerna is likely to be relatable to many young woman who live in a traditional household. Her exploration and adoration of skateboarding derives from the sense of freedom it gives her. She has the courage to go against her families wishes and skate.
Some of the characters do lack depth and exploration but the core character Prerna is given lots of time to shine so the side characters are easily ignored.
This was a lovley family film that is definitely worth watching and what makes it even better is that the skatepark was created by the production crew and still remains in the village, Rajasthan. I hope people watch this film and learn to have courage.
