I have to praise how this Korean Drama managed to keep everyone guessing about who Tae Kyung would end up with until the very last episode. Usually with Kdramas you know who the main leads are from the start but each episode of this would give you little hints for both love interests and I even doubted that my beloved Shin Woo would get his happy ending.

Typically such a taunting series would drive me to insanity but it really worked in this series favour. We watch as Da On finally learns to be true to himself and how Shin Woo's selfless and paitent affections for Tae Kyung become clearer to see. Some viewers may disagree but I personally love how this series ended. We get a whole episode of Tae Kyung and Shin Woo sweetness and see how each character has matured.

As a teen romance I was skeptical about how they were going to explore this love story but I honestly have nothing to criticise. We have Da On who finally admits his sexuality but in the process endures many problems that I am sure are relatable to many. Then we have Shin Woo, who does not care about other opinions and openly shows his affections for Tae Kyung who in turn, after he sees all that Shin Woo has done for him, reciprocats. I think what I love the most of the Tae Kyung and Shin Woo couple is once they are together they do not hide it and they are openly affectionate.

This is definitely one of the best Korean BL dramas. Not only do we get episodes that are around thirty minutes long, we get sixteen of them. For Korean BLs this is a massive improvement! We have chance to witness proper character development and the love story between Tae Kyung and Shin Woo is slowly built and as a result believable. This needs to be in your MUST WATCHLIST. Let 'Light On Me' light up your life with sweet romance and quirky humour.
