'Jolt' is a film that had the potential to provide a new spark in the action genre but by the final credits any hope flickered away.
The concept of a woman gaining supernatural abilities due to her unbridled rage felt like a refreshing concept that could have resulted in multiple films. However, despite the strong casting and dynamic cinematography the storyline just fell flat. It is an action film you need to watch without caring for the plot. Mindless but well choreographed action scenes and some witty lines in the script is all this film is.
This will not 'Jolt' you out of your seat with excitement but the dull thrum of electricity will make this a alright watch for a Sunday night.
