Due to there being some changes to the core cast I purposefully left a gap between watching series 1 and 2 of Dr Romantic but I don't think it is necessary. You can watch either series in succession or independently and you won't feel like you are missing any vital information. Of course watching both does give you more depth but they are both strong on their own.

This is a gripping medical drama that will have your attention for every moment and to top it off it has moments of humour and romance.

Park Eun Tak and Yoon Ah Reum are adorable as the supporting couple and the lead pair Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin have great chemistry. However, despite what the title would suggest the romance isn't the core of the story, it is just the cherry on top. The main focus in the emotional turbulence and dramas of the medical world as each doctor learns new lessons and encounters new patients.

If you want to watch a medical drama with two sweet love stories interwoven in the plot then this should definitely be in your MUST WATCHLIST.

Synopsis:
Kim Sa Bu once gained fame as a top surgeon at a huge hospital. One day, he disappeared from the eyes of the public, quietly becoming the chief surgeon at Doldam Hospital in the countryside. After he conducted a successful operation on Chairman Shin, he gets to improve the hospital under reliable support. However, all the luck changes when the chairman passes away and an old foe returns and some valued members leave the team.

Kim Sa Bu decides to solve the manpower shortage at Doldam and finds two surgeons who have the potential to be excellent but they lack guidance. Seo Woo Jin would do anything for money and Cha Eun Jae gets nauseous every time she tries to perform surgery. Will Kim Sa Bu be able to run Doldam Hospital with these two?
