"Whatever you look like, whether you're wearing makeup or not, you're always going to be yourself, Im Ju Gyeong."
I feel so conflicted over this romance. I am following the webeton that this is based on and from that I am team Han Seo Jun and yet in the series I found myself loving Suho more. Then it all goes insane towards the end and I am so in love with them both I couldn't make up my mind. As it has been simplified into a series I understand and support that Suho was the chosen lead as it makes more sense but Han Seo Jun was worth love and you want him to get a happy ending. As an actor Hwang In Yeop, who plays Han Seo Jun, always seems to be the second lead and I hope he gets his own series and leading lady in the near future. As a character Han Seo Jun is a wonderful second lead who loved Im Ju Gyeong and wisher her happiness even if it was not with him.
"Tears clean our hearts."
Overall, I enjoyed this adaptation of the webtoon. There were moments where it did feel like the scenes in the comic book, so for avid fans, I am sure it is an enjoyable watch but it also made moments a little childish when it was perfect without it.
"You are enough. You as you are, is enough for me."
It is very much a teen romance but I enjoyed it immensely. The casting was brilliant; each actor suited their respective webtoon character perfectly. Outside of their roles, the core cast are friends and it is this bond that reflects in their acting; they are comfortable acting together.
If you are in the mood for a teen romance that has similarities to 'My ID Is Gangnam Beauty' then this should be in your MUST WATCHLIST.
