Story Review

The episode started, Mehreen is at her friend's place. Friend's cousin had previously proposed Mehreen and he is now going abroad, friend tried to convince Mehreen for him. But she said, " no comments", she was not even interested.

At the same time, at home Saleha came to her maika and wanted to meet her daughter but obviously Mehreen, was deliberately killing time at her friend to avoid her mother. Nani and Mashal told her that she usually comes back home late.

Mehreen called the maid to inquire if mother was still there, the maid lied, she came back, and saw her step sisters sitting with Mashal. She straight went inside, her mother came to meet her in the room. The conversation between mother and daughter was in a very bitter tone.

Nani asked Saleha to find an appropriate proposal for Mehreen. She said Rabia baji would be sending Aswad's proposal for her. This was also heard by Shugufta. Later, Shagufta told her daughter about it, she refused and said, Aswad only likes me.

Mashal talks to Aswad daily. She likes him and it seems like, he likes her too. She brain washed him about Mehreen. Mehreen also like Aswad.

Mehreen and her friend were sitting in the university, the friend's cousin who like Mehreen came to meet her, Mashal took a picture. They went for lunch. He again asked Mehreen. But she wanted more time to decide.

Nani, mamo(Tahir) and momani( Shagufta) were sitting and having tea, Tahir brought up the topic that Mashal likes Aswad. And they make a better couple. Nobody will talk about Mehreen getting married with Aswad, in the house again.

My Take

This episode was very well executed. Mahira's performance was over the top. Her overall attire was so on point according to the character she is playing. Her character Mehreen is very well established, it was clearly shown in the first two episodes that what is the reason of her bitterness. The way she hides her pain and always smiles is her acting skills.

The whole episode was a rollercoaster ride of emotion. There are many beautiful scene which shows the director's excellence, like that of the cage and the bird.

The conversation between mother and daughter was so plain yet so powerful.

Haroon Shahid is the new entry in the episode. He loves Mahira and is the cousin of her friend. He has a charming personality but she is not interested in him.
