Sunway Malls has announced its 'Together for Good' campaign for this year's Christmas celebration. Sunway is going down a different route and instead will be channelling their festive budget towards helping those in need.
Each mall will have their own dedicated space for members of the public to do their part and contribute accordingly, with proceeds sent directly to the partner organisations for the respective malls. Sunway has stated that each mall has been designated a Christmas hero such as a teddy bear, a magical fairy, Santa's elves, a gingerbread man, and reindeer that will feature throughout the malls' themes and décor, as well as be present in the Augmented Reality (AR) games. The game is part of Sunway Malls' efforts to introduced more digital elements in the mall, where shoppers can go through a one-of-a-kind online to offline experience with their mobile devices to complete games and challenges and be rewarded for their efforts.
Sunway Malls & Theme Parks CEO, HC Chan shares that celebrations are always more meaningful when done together, and that is why they have decided to go with this theme and concept for this year. "This year has not been without its challenges, and as we continue to move forward whilst looking ahead to better things in 2022, we must not forget to spare a moment to give to those who need it most. Whilst we spend time with those near and dear to our hearts, may we remember to share because we care – from all of us at Sunway Malls, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."
